I started out years ago running beauty pageants all over the state of Florida - that was a great introduction to putting on "big productions"!

One thing led to another and I was eventually asked to get into the hotel business....booking weddings and corporate events. I eventually moved on to Country Clubs doing the same thing. In 10 years of doing that in C. Fl., I learned alot from working with thousands of brides. I have always loved helping brides have the most beautiful wedding they can and so many people kept telling me over the years I should start my own business.....so I finally did!

With my experience on both sides - being a vendor to now hiring the vendors, I can be a great help to brides. I have learned the inside workings and can help achieve your dream wedding or party without blowing your budget. I actually love that challenge! It is so much fun to be able to do this with my youngest daughter. We make a great team! My oldest daughter got married in '07 (so I also have experience in being "the mother of the bride" as well!) and moved to North Carolina and has started her own photography business.....who knows, maybe one day Chic Designs will have it's own in-house photographer! :)

Of course, being raised in the midst of all the beauty pageant business, I too learned early about producing great events. Then when my mom got into weddngs, I always helped out so it was pretty natural for me to go into this business. I love making everything perfect for a bride. Both my mom and I pay so much attention to the smallest details, that we would probably drive someone else crazy - so I think it is a good thing we're in this together! We work hard, but we have so much fun doing it - and make sure the bride and groom have fun too! I am so fortunate to be able to do something I love for a living....to be able to work with people that are happy and in love, what could be better!?
